I take cities, and the culture in them, personally.

I work at the intersection of urbanism, art, culture, and technology.

I build software products, and have for years. These days that's agentic systems at a Canadian startup, which is where most of my time goes.

Outside of that, it's cities. The graffiti that goes up overnight. The storefronts holding a street together. The corner everyone calls by a name no map uses. None of it gets written down, and most of it is gone before anyone gets around to it. Someone has to keep that record, and it has to live somewhere the public can actually reach.

So that is what I make on my own time: maps, registries, archives, video, and the data work underneath all of it, usually alongside teams carrying more ambition than budget. Ottawalls is the one that got out: a bilingual street-art archive built from scratch, which institutions across Ottawa adopted with no marketing budget and CBC ended up covering. The index is the public record of everything since.
